The bill's projected price tag is expectd to be $150 billion dollars.

General Motors is putting on the brakes sooner than expected on a sport utility vehicle factory in Wisconsin. The factory makes the GMC Yukon, Chevrolet Tahoe and Chevrolet Suburban s-u-v's.

Initially, the manufacturer said it would close it and three other plants by 20-10. But with the market for those vehicles shrinking, the company moved up the closure of it and an s-u-v factory in ohio to December 23rd.

Meanwhile, GM and Chrysler's talks of a merger are said to have stalled because of the recent turmoil in the financial markets.

Discussions between the two ailing automakers have been going on for about a month, and there's said to be a 50/50 chance they'll join forces. Some analysts say it's a bad idea--saying two wrongs don't make a right.
