A Caddo Parish woman is spending her 11th wedding anniversary in jail, charged with trying to get two different people to kill her husband.

The husband was shot one night last month when he and his wife came home, but he survived. That case remains under investigation and the charges filed today do not involve that shooting.

Lynette Blow, 50, of Greenwood, was arrested this morning by Caddo Parish sheriff's detectives. She was booked for solicitation of murder with bond set at $1 million.

Blow's husband, Michael, was shot June 14 at the couple's house on Waterwood Drive. He was recently released from the hospital.

The charges filed today allege Mrs. Blow tried to hire hitmen to kill her husband in 2004 and 2007.

The first man was her extramarital lover, investigators said. He told detectives investigating the shooting of Mr. Blow that he was offered $10,000 to do it himself or find some, Sheriff Steve Prator said. He refused and the relationship ended, Prator said.

In 2007, Blow approached a former co-worker and offered him $10,000 to kill her husband or find a hitman, Prator said. He also refused.

Neither man contacted authorities about the alleged murder solicitations, investigators said.

The Blows got married on July 3, 1997, Caddo Parish marriage records show.
