Texas A&M University-Texarkana has dedicated the first building at its new Bringle Lake Campus.

The Science and Technology building is about 40,000 square feet in size.

"This is a new era for A&M Texarkana. It's a fresh start in a fresh location with a new vision for the university as we move toward downward expansion and transitioning into a comprehensive regional university," TAMU-T President Carlisle Rathburn III said.

The university is scheduled to break ground on a new library and multi-purpose building this fall.
